CKE Restrictive Covenant Initiative

Thanks for visiting the webpage for the Chinook Park-Kelvin Grove-Eagle Ridge (CKE) Restrictive
Covenant Initiative.

Please feel free to reach out to us using the Contact page if you wish to discuss any aspect of the CKE
Restrictive Covenant Initiative, and someone from our Team will get back to you promptly.

This project was initiated by a group of CKE property owners who were very concerned about
the City of Calgary’s Heritage Local Area Plan and its potential implications for CKE.

This is a private initiative that is distinct from the CKE Community Association, and it is not a
project sanctioned by the CKE Community Association.

Our goal is to preserve the single-family residential character of CKE.

This website includes a number of drop-down tabs that are designed to share information about
the initiative and the Heritage Local Area Plan, to provide CKE property owners an opportunity to
make an informed decision about their potential participation in the Restrictive Covenant
initiative. We recognize and accept that individual owners are going to make the decision that is
right for them having regard to their own individual circumstances and preferences.

The About page provides the key context of such items as Why, Who and What’s Next.

The Restrictive Covenant page provides greater context about the nature of a Restrictive Covenant, information about the form of the draft Restrictive Covenant, a Matrix that summarizes the Restrictive Covenant for a non-legal audience, a Waiver document that participants will be required to sign and Frequently Asked Questions about the Restrictive Covenant Initiative.

There will be separate Restrictive Covenants for each of Chinook Park, Eagle Ridge and Kelvin Grove.

Other pages address the CKE Community Engagement Study, the Heritage Local Area Plan and
coverage in the Media.
